Author's reviewīy Anonymous reviewed on January 21, 2015 Monopoly Here & Now is a fun re-telling of the classic game, let down only somewhat by its repetitive animations and sounds. Monopoly's other elements like mortgaging and auctions are fairly well implemented, though whenever the computer makes a move, the alert window still reads "Click on a property you would like to mortgage", which might confuse some users into making them think there's something more they need to do when it's not even their turn. The music and sound effects that permeate the game can be deactivated, which is fortunate because they're irritating after about five seconds. Actually, the animations start to become slightly annoying after about five minutes (and you can't deactivate them in the options menu). The design of Monopoly Here & Now is immediately familiar, but it includes numerous new elements such as animated characters and pieces. You can't buy a property for $60 like in the old days! The amount of money dealt with at every stage in the game is quite different too. The traditional Monopoly utility spaces have also been changed to paying interest on credit cards and cell phone service fees. For example, the spaces where the four railroads would go on the original game have popular aiprots like O'Hare International and JFK in New York instead. Buying hotels or building them is also very intuitive and simple to use.Monopoly Here & Now is an updated edition of the popular classic, featuring the same reliable gameplay and board, with updated locations, utilities and situations. MONOPOLY also lets you employ people to manage your properties, so if you own Marvin Gardens, Water Works or Park Place, you can have someone looking after them at all times. We know that playing with friends is always better, so invite them to the game and challenge them to see who gets the most properties and customise the game rules to your taste! You can even see the game come to life thanks to its animated features and you won’t feel any difficulty playing it as its usability is very easy to understand. Also, you can buy and sell some of MONOPOLY’s most famous properties as well as trade them for another property. Start off on the GO space and keep playing until you’ve acquired several real estate buildings! You can take a ride on the Reading Railroad, buy the Boardwalk or go directly to jail.
Also, this app allows you to play even when you are alone, as you can play wherever you are, whenever you want.
